My stepdaughter chose to be married in Italy and it worked out wonderfully well. By using Residenza La Geppa as the base for a whole week the wedding turned into a party to remember for ever. Friends and family stayed for all or part of the week and the wedding was on the Friday afternoon. By that time the guests had got to know each other and everything worked perfectly.
As a church wedding was not required, we chose to use the City Hall in Spoleto - a newly restored building with wonderful, photogenic rooms. The ceremony was friendly and informal and the photographs inside were stunning. The exit from the City Hall leads directly to the Piazza Duomo, another photogenic location with steps leading down to the wonderful Cathedral. After the service the guests were all transported back to Geppa by bus for drinks, chat and more photos before being taken on at 7.30pm to the wedding feast at The Convento di Santa Croce in Sant'Anatolia (less than 10 minutes away) for a superb meal and dancing to a great band. How much does it cost? Well, it depends on how many guests you will have, but probably less than you would spend in the u.k. especially if you take into account the holiday is included. We will help you plan the wedding, organise transport, photographers, the documentation, the wedding service, the reception, music, the menu for the wedding feast and even suggest activities for your guests during their weeks stay. |
